How to Use It

Note your filter's pressure reading just after a cartridge clean: that is your baseline. When the gauge reads roughly 8-10 psi above baseline, it is time to clean the cartridge again. Unusually low pressure can indicate a pump or blockage problem; unusually high pressure can mean a dirty filter or a restriction after the filter.

Installation Tip

Wrap the gauge thread with PTFE (Teflon) tape and thread it in by hand until snug. Do not over-tighten with a spanner, as gauge bodies crack easily.
